Like Bling on a RingMy daughter got engaged a few weeks ago. The first thing I did after I pried the words out of her mouth over the phone was to scream. Something about an engagement that makes a women squeal. It's the promise of everlasting love. It really doesn't really matter who got engaged. Someone has professed their undying love and devotion. Someone does not want to live with out you. It's hope for the future.
My second thought was oh my god, she is too young. But ya know what? If it's one thing I have learned in the past 6 months, is that happiness is not a constant state of being. Whatever happiness a person finds in this life, I think they should grab onto it and hold on for as long as it lasts. It may not last forever, it may happen "to young", but so what, enjoy it for as long as it lasts or whenever it happens, young or old. So, with that said, Congratulations Alyssa Rose, I love you and yes I WILL walk you down the aisle and be your made of honor!

Happiness is all too often short lived...I'm glad you're there for her, and to share in her happiness :-) Pretty ring :-)
Congratulations! That is wonderful news! And you're right: it's best to seize happiness when it's in front of you, and appreciate it while you have it. :)
I hope you're getting your own personal share too (happiness) these days! You deserve it!
